I love my blender! When I'm short on time, I can whip up a "liquid salad" or a mini-meal in minutes.
Earlier this summer, I posted here on the nutritional punch associated with green drinks. Since I added green drinks to my weekly eating plan, my consumption of vegetables has gone way up.
For those mornings when the hands of the clock feel like they are on fast forward, my blender provides breakfast in minutes.
Berry Delicious
1/2 C almond milk
1/2 C water
1/2 C frozen blueberries
1/3 frozen banana
2/3 scoop vanilla egg protein powder
Pumpkin Spiced Latte
1/8 C coconut milk
1 C cold coffee
3-4 ice cubes
1/2 C pumpkin
1/3 frz banana
1 sco0p vanilla egg protein powder
dash of pumpkin pie spice
Chunky Monkey
1/2 C almond milk (sugar free, of course)
1/2 C water
3-4 ice cubes
1/8 c coconut milk
1/4 frozen banana
1 scoop chocolate egg protein
1 tsp almond extract
*if allergic to eggs, use whey protein or omit the protein component all together
