It’s Not a Diet
It’s Not a Phase
It’s a Permanent Lifestyle Change
"NEVER forget that changing something as fundamental in a person's life as their diet is not only going to be a challenge, it is going to take time. Prepare for this mentally by reminding yourself everyday that one step back isn't a failure. Because optimum nutrition (as well as amount of sleep, training schedules, etc...) can vary from person to person, you may not experience "successes" on a daily basis. So always keep in mind that two steps forward and one step back is STILL one step in the right direction. Don't be discouraged when you fall. Pick yourself up and keep going.
Everyone has heard the cliche, "out of sight, out of mind." This idea is paramount when making lifestyle changes. This concept basically means that without frequent reminders of our goal it becomes easy to lose sight of where we're going. So, how do I keep focus? Write down a favorite inspiring quote or fitness goal and tape it to your car dashboard, or on the fridge, or in the shower where you'll see it every morning. Watch that inspiring YouTube video every night before you go to bed. Things like this provide you with a consistent daily reminder of your commitment to change and help to maintain motivation."
